Caregiver Support

Being a caregiver to someone you care about can be overwhelming. Tasks may include helping with their activities of daily living, coordinating their logistical care, as well as their physical and emotional care. However, who cares for you, the caregiver? Come join us to learn about important strategies for self-care. We will touch on how you can ask for help, understanding your feelings, making time for yourself, and tips on self-care.

Living a Balanced Life – Overcoming Anxiety and Stress

Anxiety and stress are common issues we see as a counseling organization. This workshop will provide an overview of anxiety disorders, while focusing on generalized anxiety and panic disorder. We will define these disorders and discuss how they manifest themselves in adults. We will also learn the latest evidence-based strategies on how to manage anxiety while living a balanced life.

Finding Joy – Healing from Depression

Millions of Americans suffer from depression each year. We have seen a significant increase, especially during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This workshop will introduce you to the topic of depression, with an overview of the common types, as well as common signs and symptoms. We will introduce you to the most frequently utilized evidence-based treatments. While this presentation is not specifically about suicide, we will touch on it.

Stress - How to Manage a Work/Life Balance

Stress is a fact of life. We can however begin to learn how to manage it, so it doesn’t manage us. In this presentation we will begin to define stress and examine some of the causes. We will look at the symptoms of stress and ways in which we can learn to deal in an adaptive manner.

The Evolving Nature of Grief

Grieving is an experience almost all of us will go through at some point in our lives. It is something we often have no control over. This presentation will define grief and highlight some of the unique phases in which we find ourselves throughout the grieving process. We will touch upon and discuss “complicated” grief, as well as those critical strategies for intervention and healing.
